Do I need to provide beneficial ownership information if my business is a nonprofit organization?

Compliance for Nonprofits: Control Ownership and Documentation Requirements

Charities and nonprofit organizations are not required to provide information on individuals or entities that own 25% or more of the company. You will still need to provide information for an individual who can exercise “significant control” over the organization. Individuals considered to “exercise significant control” over your company, responsible for managing and directing the organization may include: CEO, CFO, COO, Managing Director, General Partner, President, Vice President, or Treasurer. You may also be asked to provide official IRS-supplied documentation to prove your organization’s nonprofit or charity status.
