Address Verification for Businesses Using PO Boxes: Documentation Requirements for Worth's KYB and KYC Compliance
While not common, it is possible for businesses to use a PO box as their address. Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations require Worth to verify that applicants are operating from the business address provided on their application. For addresses Worth is not able to verify independently, we might request additional documentation that will allow us to fulfill this requirement.
List of acceptable documents for business address verification can be found below:
- Rental or lease agreement with the signature of the owner/landlord and the tenant, tying the business address provided on the application to the address on the document
- Utility bills (water, electricity, gas, internet) with the address on the document tying the business to the address provided on the application
- Federal or state tax returns tying the business address on the tax return to the business address provided on the application
- Articles of Incorporation or other government-issued business documents tying the business address on the document to the business address provided on the application
